Welcome
h4. We invite you to participate! The Walla Walla Diversity Coalition was formed in 1994 to promote communication, respect, and understanding among all members of the human community. The Walla Walla Diversity Coalition seeks to prevent discrimination against, and promotes cooperation among all members of the human community, regardless of culture, color, religion, gender, sexual identity, national or ethnic origin, age, handicap, or other differences. The Coalition would like to thank the following 2012 Freedom from Discrimination Month sponsors: Walla Walla Community College, The Walla Walla Union Bulletin, Walla Walla University and Whitman College.
20th Annual Multicultural Arts Festival
Every year our festival celebrates the diversity in the Walla Walla area. The festival will be at Pioneer Park on June 16, 2013 (Father’s Day). It opens at 11 a.m. and continues until 6 p.m.
Diversity Wear and Diversity Where?
In honor of its big two-oh anniversary, the Diversity Coalition is inaugurating two new geography-related activities the day of the festival: Diversity Wear and Diversity Where? Festival-goers of all ages are welcome to participate in these free activities (and can win prizes!)
Other Resources
The hope of a culturally rich, diverse and tolerant future is widespread. Many of the goals of the Walla Walla Diversity Coalition are shared by a variety individuals and organizations in our community.
