The hope of a culturally rich, diverse and tolerant future is widespread. Many of the goals of the Walla Walla Diversity Coalition are shared by a variety individuals and organizations in our community.
Walla Walla Community College: Multicultural Services attempts to expand the cultural awareness and appreciation of cultural and racial diversity within the College and the Walla Walla community.
Walla Walla Friends Meeting: The Society of Friends, or Quakers, began in England around 1650, following the leadings of George Fox, as an inward approach to the spirit of God. Traditional Friends do not observe outer sacraments, normally employ no ministers, and share the ministry among all members and attenders.
Walla Walla University Office of Diversity Services: The mission of the Walla Walla University Office of Diversity Services is to promote learning and working environments free of discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, age, ability, or veteran's status.
Whitman College Intercultural Center: Fostering diversity, inclusion, and respect for all in the Whitman Community is one of the goals of the Intercultural Center.
The Center also seeks to enrich the experience of the entire student body and community by providing opportunities to engage and educate the campus as a whole on issues related to diversity.
